Hi there, I’m Jason G. Eastwood…

I want to thank you for reading this, you’re probably here because you’ve heard one of my tunes or watched one of my videos, and there’s a good chance that you’re a lot like me and are always on a quest to discover profound new music.

Right now is a weird time in the music “industry”, but I feel it could be a breakout moment in history for independent artists like myself with some help from the real heroes in this ever evolving musician/listener story…YOU!

Your time is incredibly valuable so Let me introduce myself in rapid fire form:

I’m a guitarist/composer/producer/singer-songwriter/ living in Canada.

I started playing guitar when I was 11 years-old.

I figured out the instrument by spending hours trying to figure out “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath.

All I did in High School was play guitar and only class I went to was jazz band.

I fuelled my rebellious anti-establishment nature through music

By the time I got to high school I had progressed from studying bands like VanHalen, Ozzy Osborne, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and The Scorpions to Jazz and Blues music. I studied artists like Miles Davis and Charlie Parker like crazy.

I also really got into songwriting, largely inspired by Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush”.

When I was 14 I saved up my paper route money to buy a Fostex X-15 4-Track Cassette recorder.

I started recording songs with all of my friends and schoolmates.

It became quite clear to me that there are things we can say through music and song that really can’t be said any other way.

…So over the next 20 years, I:

Played in a myriad bands and studied as many styles of music as I could.

Released an album on a mainstream record label that was distributed across North America.

Released countless independent recordings.

Got into formal composing & writing scores.

Had one of my works recorded by a major North American Symphony Orchestra.

Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition and a Masters’ in Musicology.

Became a Professor of Guitar at Dalhousie University.

Played endless live gigs with amazing musicians all across Canada.

I’m not listing these accomplishments this to brag or conger any pretentious notions, just to give you some perspective on my career and the fact that I’m in this for the long haul.

One thing I’ve learned along the way is that the music we create serves a purpose far beyond our own self-gratification as producers; it’s really about the listener as much as it is about the artist.

So now I’ve made part of my mission to tear down the walls between my music and the people who want to listen to it.

I want to replace the walls with super fun bridges lined with confetti canons and disco lights.

And this album launch campaign is that bridge to you.

I’m asking you to take a scenic walk across this bridge, look around for a few minutes and check and a project I spent the last six months, but really 30 years, creating.

I recently made a record that I think really stands out and breaks some new ground in the world of psychedelic pop.

It’s touches on themes of technology, nostalgia, love, and I also intended it as a commentary on the “hit” song form that was so prevalent in the early to mid 80s.

The album is called “Linked In” and it contains 10 of my original songs.

I played all of the instruments on the album as well as did all of the vocals.

I tried to produce it in the same mindset I had at the beginning of this journey when I did my first 4-track recordings.

The album was mixed in Stockholm Sweden by Grammy Award Winning Engineer Thomas Juth and mastered in London, England at Soundtrack Creation Studios making “Linked In” a truly an International effort.

Recently I decided to give the album away for free. Totally Free. And not through a record company or distribution channel, just directly from me to you, artist to listener, and in a way you’ve probably never been given an album before featuring the opportunity to go on a one of a kind voyage with the songs.

This whole process is a big experiment and I feel a little bit like a snail walking on the edge of a razorblade, but I’m extremely exited too and I know if you decide to take part in my experiment we’ll have a great time and possibly we can really connect on a musical level.

And if you decide not to join me on this experimental journey...I really want to thank you for listening to my music in any fashion and being here right now, it means the world to me that you took this time I hope it was a worthwhile experience.

Your support allows me to keep being creative in a world that seems to need it more than ever.

So if you DO want to join me, please enter your name and email address below and you’ll get the deluxe “Linked In Album Experience” with a bunch of bonus stuff, insider videos, and more.

Let’s change how this whole “musician/listener” thing works and blaze a new path into music history.

Elvis Costello once said, “sometimes you trust the people who make music to take you where you haven’t been before”…I love that.

…Once again I’m Jason G. Eastwood, enjoy your Time and Space…Peace, Love and Rock ‘n Roll!
